I would like to share another song of praise for the Christmas season. This one may be effective as a song of response or commitment. It is my interpretation of the hymn, "Thou Didst Leave Thy Throne" that was first published in 1870. I hope you enjoy it.

Lord, you left your throne and your kingly crown,
when you came to earth for me;
But in Bethlehem was there found no room
for your holy nativity.

O come to my heart, Lord Jesus,
There is room in my heart for you;
Make a home in my heart, Lord Jesus,
There is room in my heart for you.

Heaven's arches rang when the angels sang,
proclaiming your royal decree;
But of lowly birth, Lord, you came to earth,
and in great humility.

Lord, we crown you king, highest praises bring,
and we humbly bow our knee;
For the Son of God, who with angels trod,
has now come to set us free!
