Just to be in Your presence
Just to spend some time with You
There’s no greater joy or pleasure
So come and fill my heart anew
Just to be in Your presence
Just to spend some time with You
There’s no greater joy or pleasure
So come and fill my heart anew
Lord,
I hunger for more of You
I need a fresh touch from heaven
A fresh touch today
I need a fresh touch of Your Spirit
Lord, this is what I pray
And when all that’s around me
Keeps trying to blind me
From seeing Your point of view
That’s when my spirit is willing
For a greater infilling
Lord, I need a touch from YouSpread The Word

This is not only a prayerful song inviting the Lord's presence in, but an extremely useful song in corporate worship. Our church has used it with real response as well as staying power. You won't want to lay it down any time soon.

Matt, what a great new arrangement! It's a wonderful feeling, my friend, to know that through God's blessing to you (your gift of writing and singing), you will in turn be blessing so many that hear this. Thank you for sharing! Miss you much!

The quality of Matt's voice is excellent. The music production is also very good. The lyrics are thoughtful. The only downside is that, while the melody is good, it isn't real compelling.

This song feels like a christian classic that has been popular for years. Great intimate lyrics and the instrumental break fits perfect. Plus P Matt sounds vocally amazing!

I'm kinda with Jim H up there. The recording is flawless and the talent is amazing! The melody is nice, but it strikes me as a southern-big-church-style song that maybe doesn't resonate with my west coast sensibilities? I like the theme, and I really like the lyrics in the chorus except (ironically) the phrase "fresh touch" which seems sort of touch-feely-churchy. I hope this isn't too picky or negative--it looks like my opinion is in the clear minority, and I'm sincerely glad it seems to minister to many on the board here!

I really, really, really like this song. As an unbiased listener, this song touches me. The call to continued intimacy with Christ, as appealing as that is already, is made all the more compelling with this beautiful melody! Bravo Matt!
