Here is the background to the song, as written by Kevin:
My Pastor was going to be giving a message on Ephesians 4. While reading the passage, there were just so many times that God was calling His church to unity using the word "one." I began humming what would later be the Bridge/Ending to the song thinking that it would be the chorus. I wanted to use as many of the mentionings of the word "one" as I could from this passage. God took me in a different direction on the chorus, but I like the way it turned out.

I could really see a choir doing this song. Would push it for an anthem. The ending was a little long for me. Altogether very nice.

Great message! Builds great momentum and carries you along. Nice variety at the end by adding the repeating line.

Great song to lead a worshipper into the presence of the Throne room of God so that they can enter into real worship themselves

This song works on so many levels. First, regardless of your instrumentation you can make this song "work". It is also a great way to bridge the "gap" between "traditional" and "contemporary" services that exists in so many churches. Finally, it calls us to a higher level of worship; worship that is not about us and what we want, but about God and His will.

I'd love to hear this with a full string ensemble backing the chorus (along with the keys). The bridge at the end is cool. Listening to this through my headphones and eyes closed, made me want to stand "with my hands uplifted high," my "face turned to the sky" - kinda of the point of praise songs.

This is a great song! Our Church is joining with hundreds of others for the next few weeks in a world wide presentation called "One Prayer." This song is a great representation for what the message of unity is for the whole Church Universal.

Goose Bumps at the Chorus! This is excellent! I was immediately put into an attitude of worship, even here at work. I can't wait to sing this at CHURCH!

This is truly a great worship song! I have listened to it over and over again and praise the Lord for the unity of the Spirit of Christ in His children! What worship this produces! The message is one from the heart of the believer to the heart of the Savior! Praise His Holy Name!!!

This song is wonderful because it focuses on the essentials of our faith and the wonderful things we are given. So many times do we get caught up in the tedious controversial arguments of today that we forget how amazing it is to have an ever loving God. That's what truly brings us together us His name. Amen brother.

I'm a Canadian who worships with Americans and I love worshiping with this song...it really embodies the sense of unity we have when we gather to lift up the name of Christ. The congregation embraced the words and the melody right away...very singable song that stirs the heart.

Appropriate message set to an easy-to-learn worship melody for a congregation or choir. Would be a great theme song for any conference or sermon series that deals with Unity.
