Here is a new song worth listening that Kevin Pledger sent in for Song Quest. Listen to the full audio demo and let us know what you think.
Here is the background as written by Kevin:
I wrote this song in 2006 as I was about to go to the Integrity Worship Songwriters Retreat. It was my submission that year. This song literally comes from my prayer to my Heavenly Father. I love picturing Him as a Dad. Anyone can biologically be a father, but it takes a special man to be a Dad. That's who God is to me. I've gone my own way and turned my back and Him. But just because I left the house, never meant that I stopped being a son. And He always wanted to come and dwell with me again and shape me into who He wanted me to be.

Easy to follow vocally for a congregation. I think by the second chorus most all would be comfortable.

I love the way the words of the song draw you into worship and to God himself. I also think it's easier to sing after the second chorus.

I really like the chorus, it is very catchy. Would be easy for a congregation to learn. I like the "Southern Rock" feel to this song. The verses are ok, they would seem to be difficult for a congregation. Chorus is great!

A very personal crying out to God that I think worshippers could embrace. Nice flowing melody. May take a little while to catch all the text. Range might be a little on the high side also.

An excellent song to be used as an introit or beginning for a worship or praise service.

Another great song from Kevin. If you want to kick off your service with a bang, this will certainly do it! The chorus is certainly easy enough to follow and will have people singing it long after worship is finished.

Love the way the chorus kicks it up a notch (especially after the first verse). The melody is smooth and the song has a great hook. Also love the personal testamony and praise the song embodies. Like all the others, I think this song would be easy for a congregation to catch onto and sing along with (even the higher parts are easily harmonized in a lower register).

This is awesome! It feels like a song I've always known, and just needed to sing. The words flow and seem to want to come right after the other, like there's no learning to it. This is yet another song I can't wait to sing at church!

Meaningful words and a powerful chorus. Worship flows from this song. Again, a great way to initiate the congregational worship

Another great song to really let sink in during worship. Some songs that talk about giving ourselves to God have a minor feel, but this really captures the joy of giving ourselves up and letting God run our lives.
