One of the genres we want to develop the PraiseCharts catalog in the
future is Black Gospel worship music. If your church leans heavily on
the black gospel music genre, we are really interested in what songs
you are singing from week to week. Give us a window into an average
Sunday morning, spirit-filled worship service. What are the songs that
have really captivated your people? What are the songs in your worship
repertoire that you can never do without? What are the new songs you
are looking forward to learning in the near future?

Our Priase team will be learning "Exceeding Joy" by Rehema Worship Experience. Our entire congregation really loves singing "I Really Love You" by Norman Hutchings.. these are just a few.

angie~ We have a church that has blended culturally. Black and White.
As of now we are traditional gospel. we are in the works of having more of a contemporary white and contemporary gospel service. Can you or anyone else please help me with some good contemporary gospel music that i could implement? |

My church does a lot of contemporary gospel and we sing a lot of songs by Israel Houghton from the earlier albums, also Joe Pace, Clint Brown - check out www.aarikaradcliffe.com for weekly contemporary gospel set lists. If you click on the worship list tab then you will see a number of ideas that may get you started.

This website is off the chain. I Thank God for your Obedience, Submission and Stewardship. One of the issues with Black Church is "Relationship". "Black Church" for the most part are of a religious flare and are coming into the knowledge of the Truth behind Worship, which I believe is Relationship, Intimacy and Commitment, the culture at large has a problem with all three which trickles down and up to the very relationship with God. If and when the focus is removed from self and hardships of the cross, (that is being rebelled against and labeled as a curse or a state of disobedience by the culture), and focused on the awesomeness of God, the Finished Work at Calvary and The Great Commission we can move on to Greater things in God, like His Presence in our lives daily and in our "Church Service". We can then move on to Worship. Songs that are focused on the Awesomeness of God are the only songs that will lead to worship and usher in the Presence of God in any service and at that point culture disappears. KEEP ON WRITING AND BY ALL MEANS KEEP ON WORSHIPPING!!!
