QUESTION:
A
young couple in my church asked me to perform their wedding. Part of
the Groom’s extended family will be coming from a Muslim country. The
couple's desire is that the gospel be shared in the ceremony because it
might be the only time that the extended family hears it. Do you have
any input as to what wedding songs we could include to make the service
evangelistic?

Health Issue Affecting The Team?

Hear from Rick Muchow in answering today's question: I've served as volunteer minister of music for many years at our church under the same Pastor. One of the main musicians for Sunday morning worship is the Pastor's wife. In recent years, her health has declined. We do not practice for service. I think we should but don't know quite how to address it with the Pastor. He is one of her greatest ‘fans.’ How would you handle this issue?

Our Praise Team Is Fully Stocked?

Our Praise
Team is fully stocked at this time. What do I do about other musicians
and singers who might be interested? While I want to reach out to new
talent that may be in our church, at the same time we have a
worshipping, wonderful, dedicated team with all the players and singers
we need right now. Our service is growing by leaps and bounds... we are
SO blessed. I think I am afraid of looking closed minded and closed
hearted toward others who might be interested in joining. And if you
tell me to start a Praise Choir I'm going to run away-- that really
frightens me! But then again, it may be time to "build a bench"--or
should I leave well enough alone?
