CBS Sunday Morning Will Feature The Gettys Easter Sunday

Celebrated modern hymn writers and recording artists, Keith and Kristyn Getty were the subject of a feature profile on CBS Sunday Morning to airing Easter Sunday, April 5, 2015 at 9:00am Eastern. View the segment here.

For the segment, which is titled In The Spirit, the Gettys were interviewed in their Nashville home by CBS News correspondent Tracy Smith and recorded while performing at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville on St. Patrick’s Day.
 
Originally from Ireland, Keith and Kristyn Getty are renowned contemporary hymn writers and recording artists. One of Keith’s most popular compositions, “In Christ Alone,” (co-written with Stuart Townend) is the #1 most-sung hymn in the UK, and among the top 15 most-sung hymns in the United States, Canada, and Australia. It is estimated that this and other songs from the Getty catalogue are sung by as many as 100 million people each year in churches around the globe.

The duo has released 6 albums and performed at notable venues including Carnegie Hall and London’s Royal Albert Hall. The Getty’s annual “Joy – An Irish Christmas” tour, which began in 2010 and has been seen by more than 100,000 people throughout North America, is scheduled to return for 2015 in New York City, Philadelphia, Washington DC, Toronto, Atlanta, Nashville and other major cities.
